Blair Waldorf’s eating disorder will resurface in an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl, executive producer Stephanie Savage has confirmed.

In season one of the teen drama, Blair, played by Leighton Meester, was seen gorging on food whenever she faced problems in her life.

Savage said that the moment during the episode is “very subtle”, but added that “people who are looking for it, they will find it”.

She also told Entertainment Weekly that Carter’s return is tied to the arrival of Serena’s father, played by William Baldwin.

Gossip Girl continues Mondays at 9pm on The CW in the US and Wednesdays at 9pm on ITV2 in the UK.
